Throughout the course of their musical careers the members of Lee Ryder's Blues Deluxe have won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at a variety of venues and making countless public appearances worldwide all the while recording new song versions, this talented Blues Band has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike.
Lee Ryder , formed his first band The Hush in 1967,and was managed by The Animals bass player Chas Chandler, they enjoyed limited success playing all the London venues of that era,The Marquee ,Whisky AgoGo, Speakeasy , Witches Cauldron along with many large festivals here and abroad. Lee decided to leave the music bizz and never played for over 20yrs,then met up with a with a musician he hadn't seen for many years who convinced Lee to make a comeback ! After playing many festivals and venues and constant session playing ,he was introduced to an old friend Peter Sinfield who was instigator of King Crimson and writer of Celine Dion hit"Don't Think Twice" .He was blown away by Lee's playing and introduced him to another hitmaker an American called Albert Hammond who sent Lee a tape of a song he'd written for him to record. Unfortunately Lee never got round to recording this song. Since then he has worked with members of Whitesnake, Van Morrison,Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Peter Green,Mick Taylor,Stevie Marriott, the list is endless. He makes a point with his band"Blues Deluxe" to ONLY use the best musicians around.
