  LEE RYDER'S BLUES DELUXE

Lee Ryder AKA Lee Essex, was born in Kingsbury, London ,and was the son of Laurie Essex who was a professional Accordion player who toured with the world famous Prima Scala Accordion Band,so music was installed into him at a very early age. He decided music was where he wanted to be and left school at 14yrs old to pursue his dream. He was  offered a record deal and management deal by Bron Agency in London but due to his young age they wanted him to dress like a schoolboy, short trousers etc and wanted him to record a first single "Let the good times Roll by by Bunny Ziegler. Lee refused as it wasn't the Blues and that was all he was interested in. He later was introduced to The Animals bass player Chas Chandler who was handling Jimi Hendrix at the time and Lee signed to Chas as his manager. Gigs were coming in everywhere from The Marquee in London to European and countrywide gigs .Lee later left the music biz for many years and returned in around 1990 when he was introduced to King Crimson founder Peter Sinfield who wrote the Celine Dion hits ,he was by now working with quality musicians from Eric Clapton's band, musicians from Whitesnake, Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt, Mick Taylor, Peter Green, and old friend from the early days Stevie Marriott. to name but a few ! He is still playing his blend of feelful blues and surrounds himself with top class pro musicians including Vince Lewis on Bass who has been with Lee for over 25 yrs ,Chris Parren on Keyboards from The Strawbs , Roger Brewer on drums ex Marrillion tech and Matt Backer on Guitar from, Julian Lennon, ABC etc in fact one of the most sought after session guitarists in the world today.

As Blues Magazine USA stated "Quality genuine Blues as good as it can get " !!
